The Spider's Brain: Intelligence and Design

(alt. title? Leonardo's Sketchbook)

Hi, below I am responding to the moronic claims Aiguy (or someone else with a similar mentality) stated, the following I'm writing is a direct refutation to his pathetic claims, and I'm not even putting much thought and effort into it.

Aiguy obviously doesn't realize that a spider is pre-programmed and pre-determined to make complex spider webs. Just like we can make a complex mess over the toilet without putting too much thought into that process, spiders can make spider webs without thinking about it.

That doesn't mean that we humans also haven't been programmed to have foresight, planning, an entirely new mindful function unlike a mindless function. The point about Aiguys claim is that complex systems can arise from unintelligent processes, and therefore if we use the term "Intelligence" then that creates all kinds of conflict to whether complex systems can arise via intelligent processes. But how can that be when the spider itself is a complex system and we can't observe spiders coming about via un-intelligent processes, we can only see pre-programmed spiders creating complex spider webs, so who cares if/whether the spiders are actually thinking about it or if they're intuition/instinct is performing it? That is his basis for falsification of ID and its not a very good one. Aiguy needs to lay off the dose of artificial narcotics, he needs to get back in touch with reality here. On top of that, Artificial Intelligence is actually a way to provide strong evidence for Intelligent design, Aiguy just hasn't thought that far yet. Aiguy seems to be stuck at one layer in the hierarchical model. Perhaps he hasn't gone deeper down the layers, this is probably why he cannot know the difference between something that has to think and between something that doesn't have to think. If a complex phenomena such as spider webs comes about from mindless processes then it probably came from a layer below particularly in the area of the genetics of the spider itself, this genetics of the spider contemplated for the lack of mind essentially. Nevertheless, a spider building spider webs is completely natural, whether it was mindless or mindful (requiring or not requiring intelligence). Just as for a human it is natural to produce another human (reproduction) without having to think about it, all the internals deal with this matter. However, I would say if a spider could take elastic bands and create a complex web then perhaps that would negate ID in some way, since the spider would need to figure out how elastic bands work and implement that whole procedure all via a mindless process. But it doesn't. Since the spider is a mindless unintelligent entity then building complex spider webs out of elastic bands "would" be a good argument for Aiguy, but we know things don't work that way, so whats left here for Aiguys argument if nothing? Humans can do it however, we also build space shuttles, but aiguy will just have a hard time defining what "intelligence" is so we could never actually say humans are smarter then spiders or humans are smarter then cows or humans are smarter then chimps. By Aiguys terms, we don't know anything except that stuff just evolves because it evolves because it evolves because it evolves etc...

e-mail me here at: dragongt_714@Hotmail.com if you choose to discuss this

Conclusion, there is none, Aiguy has not concluded anything once again and all this effort into claiming falsification of ID with these artificial ideas he cooks up daily has not really helped Aiguy and his pre-determined atheistic journey to protect the already falsified Neo-Darwinism.
